:snowing: Wintertime is a bittersweet time of the year. It brings holidays, beauty and celebrations, but it also brings cold, sadness and cabin fever. This year, I've found much to celebrate, and I've decided to hold a contest glorifying the season! :love: This will help me and hopefully others have something to look forward to until spring. :D


Categories:

Digital Painting and Drawing

Must be submitted to Digital Art: Drawing or Digital Art: Paintings and Airbrushing

Fractal Art

Must be submitted to Digital Art: Fractal Art or Customization: Wallpaper: Fractals

Photomanipulations

Must be submitted to Digital Art: Photomanipulation


Submission Rules:

Note me with the subject Wintertime Entry and include a link to your piece
You may enter as many of the three categories as you wish
You may enter each of the three categories only one time
Must be a new deviation as of 23 January 2007
Mature Content (nudity or excessive gore) are not allowed
No depictions of smoking or alcohol
Must fit the theme of Wintertime
Must be 800x600 px or larger so the judges can see the detail

Timeline:

Entries will be accepted from 23 January 2007 until 21 February 2007, 9pm EST.

Judging will go from 21 February 2007 9pm EST until 28 February 2007 12pm EST.

Prizes:

The 1st place winner in each category will recieve a 3 month dA sub, an 8x10 print of their choice from my dA print shop, and a journal feature.

:new: The 1st place winner in the fractal category will also receive an 8x10 print from *Sophquest's gorgeous dA print shop!

:new: The 1st place winner in the Photomanip category will also recieve a private stock pack from the talented *michmellow and a fire paintings stock pack from =Mithgariel!

Second place will recieve a one month sub, a 4x5 print from my dA print shop, and a journal feature.

Third place will recieve a 4x5 print from my dA print shop and a journal feature.

Journal features for the winners from =j14v6, =lyastri, *chasing-butterflies and *Karacat.

If you would like to donate a prize to this contest it would be much appreciated!

Inspiration has struck and all, but I feel kind of bad entering any contests organised by you. :blush: Mostly because you've already done so much for me (including the publicity!) and stuff, but also because you're my friend and we've worked on too many collabs together for me to comfortably submit anything to contests of your design. So uh, I probably won't join, but for the hell of it, I might just do the picture for fun. ;) You know how it is with my fiddly fingers.
