Dearest Darling Santa Claus,

I'm writing you in tears,
I haven't wanted anything
This much in many years.

I've tried to be so well behaved
all the whole year through.
Please overlook the tantrums I had
before I wrote to you.

I need a Christmas miracle
I know it's lots to ask
But with a bit of faith and luck
you can complete the task.

I've tried everything that I know how
to do this thing myself.
If you need, feel free to bring
a team of several elves.

I've left you out a plate of treats
and quite a lot of milk,
but if I could I'd leave you gold
and high-yield bonds and silk.

For priceless is the gift I seek,
I only ask for one.
Oh, Saint Nicolas, live up to your name
and potty-train my son?

Ooooh, greatest Christmas wish ever. Did Santa live up to his rep? My four-year-old's proving potty resistant, too.

:giggle: several elves...

And this is why I love you, Occy. You come up with the most interesting interpretations!

How old is your son? that is a question you need to ask yourself, is he ready? Trust me, me and Janet thought the same thing with Brendan when he started potty training and once he started school it got better then when I busted his butt for pottying in his pull up when it was time to get ready for bed instead of going to the bathroom when he still had time....let's just say that was the last time he's worn a pull up and hasn't had but one accident since. It might've been harsh but it got the point across:nod:
:icondragonwinter:
lol

Well, he's 4 and a half. We've been trying for 18 months, on and off. The last 6 months have been when we've been the most consistent and when I thought we would make the most progress, but....He's physically capable, now it's just a battle of wills. I'm pretty ready to give up and just wipe his butt for the rest of my life. At least then I get martyrdom points. ;) A couple weeks ago I told him he couldn;t go to kindergarten next year if he wasn't potty trained, and he said "Good! Then it can be just you and me at home even more! :D" lol, backfire.
